A native of Texas, Brenda Murphy brings together a life-long passion for the west and a flair for working with pencil. Her skillful use of composition, design and light result in beautifully orchestrated drawings that in and of themselves tell a good story. Most often her subjects revolve around ranching life, children and horses.

Brenda’s work can be found in private and permanent collections and has been featured in Art of the West Magazine, Southwest Art and Western Horseman. In 2005 she received the Patrons Choice Award at the Western Visions Show at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming and in 2006 the Museum Purchase Award at the Desert Caballeros Museum’s Cowgirl Up! Show in Wickenburg, AZ.
